I recently attended a session on managing sleep when working shifts. I thought I knew all there was to know having worked shifts for over 30 years now but Alison surprised me with some new solutions which I have tried with some success. Alison was a very good tutor who obviously knows her subject well and her delivery was very good. I would recommend anyone working shifts should also receive this input.

Love the training sessions every week, helps to motivate me to go to gym in between to improve fitness. Ali is great as well, always making sure I'm giving my all and makes sure we are doing everything properly. Have a good laugh in the sessions too! Ooh la la.... Aka sumo squats

Queen Mary University of London engaged Alison Whelan to provide two different types of support for our first organisation-wide Wellbeing Week which was held in February 2016.
Alison designed and delivered a session which was specifically for our staff who work nights as this was a group of staff we wanted to ensure were included in the Wellbeing Week programme. Alison delivered the session to the cleaning team and this included both delivering the session and also attending one week beforehand to promote it and deal with any queries and concerns. We employ a number of staff in this team who do not have English as a first language and Alison was able to adapt her style to ensure this took account of their needs.
The second session Alison delivered was as part of our Wellbing Fayre where she attended to offer short "drop-in" sessions on nutrition, and again these were very well received - over 400 staff attended the fayre.
I am very happy to provide this recommendation and we hope that Alison will be able to continue to support our wellbeing activities.
